A group of residents and business owners in Halifax County Virginia are forming the Halifax County Solar Co-op to go solar together and get a discount.
The deadline to join the Halifax County solar co-op has passed. Over 50 Halifax County residents signed up before the deadline! We’re now assessing roofs and Convert Solar, the installer the group selected, is visiting everyone’s homes to provide quotes.

How does the co-op work?
Based on the same principle as buying in bulk, the co-op will go through the process of purchasing solar systems together. The group will select a single contractor to install systems on all of the homes, all participants own their own system and will sign their own contract with the chosen installer.
By going solar as a group, members will save 30% off the cost of a solar system. They’ll also have the support of the co-op throughout the process instead of having to go it alone. This buying group is being sponsored Oak Grove Plantation Bed and Breakfast and welcomes any homeowners and businesses in Halifax County to participate.
